Witness the historical transformation from Royalty to fledgling Communism with this fascinating collection of (380) 1910s-40s Russian postcards. Presenting in a well preserved range of (VG-EX to EX-MT) with 10% better and 10% lesser this impressive group documents the amazing early 20th Century social transformation of a politically charged nation. Featuring an array of photograph, painting and drawing type images this significant accumulation places special emphasis on the leaders of the 1917 Russian Revolution, with 50% of the lot bearing images of Lenin and 15% featuring Stalin, plus (14) of both Lenin and Stalin. Also present are depictions of the Czarist Royalty, German political theorists Marx and Engels, Soviet leaders Khrushchev and Trotsky, and a variety of public gatherings including marches, rallies and crowd scenes.
