Graded 20 Fair 1.5 by SGC. Only the second 1888 N338-2 S.F. Hess Mike Slattery to be evaluated by the grading service. The portrait of the New York star is crystal clear with a crease-free surface and clean back. Would have achieved a much strong technical assessment if the bottom right corner were intact. Regardless, this nineteenth century Type is still a promising find.
