Description
Denton True (Cy) Young (d.1955) obliged an autograph request by penning the offered black & white photograph. Measuring nearly 3-1/2 x 5-1/2", the picture depicts the aged "Grand Old Man" puffing on his pipe of choice. The flowing script is placed directly across Young's face with the steel-tip fountain pen endorsement grading a solid ("9"). The original envelope in which this artifact was dispatched accompanies.
