Teammates for three years in the white-hot Bronx spotlight, Babe Ruth and Dusty Cooke brought different styles to the diamond through their tenures as contemporary pinstripers. During their years together (1930-1932) Ruth amassed 136 home runs and countless admirers, while Cooke (a stellar defensive outfielder) delivered seven circuit clouts. Both complied, however, with autograph requests. Executed in black-ink steel tip fountain pen on a blank sheet, the teammates’ pennings both project (“9”) strength and clarity. The cut signature sheet displays beautifully on a 5x3 index card with photo corners. Full photo LOA from JSA.
