Among the stingiest pitchers in baseball annals, legendary White Sox hurler Ed Walsh overpowered the Cubs in the 1906 World Series and went on to post the lowest career ERA (1.82) in history. Walsh’s penning is appropriately powerful on this 5x3 postcard. Encapsulated with autograph assessed “Authentic” by BVG/JSA, the keepsake is postmarked “1952” and showcases a blue ink signature (“9” strength). Walsh (d.1959) has also inscribed “White Sox” to accent one of the toughest Hall of Fame signatures.
