Trouble incorporated from both sides of the plate, Eddie Murray proved that his Rookie of the Year numbers were no fluke as he repeated his 27-home run performance in his 1978 sophomore campaign. During that season, Murray wore this Baltimore Orioles jersey for Sunday home games at Memorial Stadium. The orange knit pullover garment features twill identifiers that include Murray’s since-retired number “33,” as well as proper “Wilson” tagging. With evidence of light wear, this is a colorful gamer worn during an era of Oriole dominance marked by Brooks' departure, Eddie's arrival and success as usual in Birdland. Tailored from bright-orange knit, the pullover garment features “Orioles” angled across the chest in black-on-white twill, “33” sewn tot eh back and left front in like fashion and “MURRAY” arched on a nameplate atop the back number in solid black block-style twill characters. Orange-black-and-white striped stretch ribbed knit lines the sleeve endings, while black-and-white striped stretch ribbed knit lines the V-neck. A “Wilson” size “44” label resides within the collar, while the left front tail is home to a swatch with “33 78” chain stitched identifiers. All original and unaltered, the jersey shows light game wear with abrasions from sliding in several spots in the back.
